The primary test is for wind velocity. The purpose of the shutter is to stop debris traveling at high velocity for entering your home through a window or door. The tests are done in a testing facility. The shutter is mounted on a window and lined up in front of an air cannon that fires an 8’ 2×4 at the window at 50 miles an hour.

The shutter must stop the 2×4 from passing through the window. All of our Hurricane products pass this test. This standard is know as the BERTHA high velocity standard which is often referred to as the Miami Dade standard.

The warranty will vary dependent upon the individual manufacture. The majority of our products offer warranties that exceed industry standard. We don’t represent products that provide less than an industry standard warranty.

  7. There is a 50% deposit due at the signing of the agreement with 50% due on the day of installation. We accept case, checks and most major credit cards and payment systems.
  8. The product will be ordered, and we will give you an estimated time to delivery and installation. Installation date estimate can be significantly affected by unforeseen manufacturing and supply chain issues.
  9. Your shutters are installed, you love them, and we receive our final 50% payment.
  10. The manufacture warranties the product, and we guarantee your satisfaction with the installation.
  11. We stand ready to respond to any and all concerns you may have for the life of the product.
